This project was foundational for my forming my firm. It began with a desire over a twenty year period to see the deteriorating house saved and perhaps moved from its increasingly inhospitable surroundings. One dollar later, it was mine to restore as long as I moved it within a year. An appropriate site fourteen miles away led to the next series of adventures. While not so cheap in the end, it was far less expensive than were I to build such a structure from scratch. Additionally, it saved an historic house from destruction and provided an ideal setting for raising a family.
